International students had a half-day tour to Damyang and enjoyed the Damyang Bamboo Festival on May 5. At this cultural program organized by the Office of International Affairs, 40 international students and four members of CNU International student Supporters tried many activities including riding a boat, experiencing Korean traditional games, tasting national foods and also learning about the importance and history of bamboo trees. Karyab MIjtaba (Junior, Faculty of Business Administration) from Afghanistan said, “This program was very exciting, informative and helpful to better understand Korean Culture and to make new friends.” All students looked joyful and enjoyed their time in a new place with new friends. They said that although there are many various cultural excursions organized by CNU, this bamboo festival trip was particularly engrossing and explanatory.
