On May 14, international students enjoyed a traditional Korean music concert at Jaeum Hall in the College of Arts at CNU. The Dept. of Traditional Korean Music organized the concert and the professors of the department performed traditional Korean music on the gayageum, a traditional Korean zither-like 12-stringed instrument on the stage. They invited CNU students to the concert in order to give them cultural leisure and let them know about the Korean folk tradition. The concert was well welcomed by the audience and they cheered every performer after the performance. The majority of students were international students. Professor Shim Sang-yun who teaches “Korean Traditional Music” course said, “The main aim of this concert is to show international students cultural wealth of Korea and make a good impression on them”. At the end of the concert, the students thanked the professors for the unforgettable musical night and they said they really enjoyed.
