It is not hard to find overflowing garbage cans and recyclable trash put into the wrong bins on campus. There are no bins to recycle properly outside the buildings, and certain bins in the buildings are overflowing with trash and recyclables. The problem of plastic waste overflowing, mainly including to-go cups and straws, is more severe outside the library buildings during the exam period. I think the university has to add more recycling bins, especially for plastic, to prevent overflowing garbage around the buildings and set up a proper waste collection system. Students also need to be willing to separate their waste in different trash containers.
