The election for the 2020 General Student Council (GSC)) at Chonnam National University will be held next year. Voting at the election scheduled for December 4 was canceled because there was no candidate registered for next year’s GSC presidential election. Several colleges’ elections did not proceed due to the same reason. However, voting at 2020 student council elections proceeded in several colleges including the College of Natural Sciences on November 20, and the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences on December 3. Park Seung-won (Freshman, School of Biological Science and Technology), a member of his college student council, said that the promotion for the elections should have been active to let more students participate in the elections. “I hope the student council presidents-elect make students get close to the school activities in free atmosphere,” he added.
