The adoption of a real-name online comment system has become a controversial issue after a renowned celeb’s suicide. I know of several celebrities who have committed suicide because of malicious comments. I think those comments could be a big part of celebrities’ depression. I also see many abusive comments that make me angry even when they are not written to me. If the real-name comment system is implemented, severe personal attacks on certain celebrities will disappear. Although realistic opinions and comments that arise from using anonymity might be eliminated, it should be introduced so that the number of thoughtless remarks will reduce and the damage to others will reduce too.
