Chonnam National University (CNU) conferred degrees to a total of 3,981 graduates: 3,159 Bachelor’s, 672 Master’s and 150 Doctoral degrees last February. CNU President Jeong Byung-seok sent congratulatory and cheerful pop-up messages on the official website of the university. “Life is not speed but direction, and it is a fight with yourself to achieve your goals. I hope you take a long-term perspective and pursue valuable and meaningful life goals, and take the lead in doing good things for others and in opening a world where people are happy together.” President Jeong also expressed his regret at the cancellation of the graduation ceremony planned to be held on February 26 in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The graduates had individually taken pictures around the campus and received congratulations from their professors, friends, and family.
