A total of 1,730 students graduated from Chonnam National University (CNU) on August 26; 1,276 Bachelor’s, 335 Master’s and 119 Doctoral degrees. CNU President Jeong Byung-seok gave congratulations and inspiring messages to them through his online speech, streaming from CNU’s official website. “Don’t be afraid of failure and be brave. Challenge is lonely. The more you feel lonely, the more you should stand up more righteously,” he stated. Due to the spread of COVID-19, the university had cancelled the 68th Second Graduation Ceremony for the Class of 2019 and distributed degree certificates to graduates from each department from August 24 to 26. Graduates’ families were recommended not to visit the school to prevent the school campus from being overcrowded during the period.
