    The “Baro” candidates won the presidential election for the 2021 General Student Council (GSC) at Chonnam National University (CNU). The election was held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on December 2, 2020, and vote counting proceeded through Zoom at 8 p.m. on the same day. The voter turnout was 62.09 percent that was 9,376 votes. Lim Gi-ahn (Junior, Dept. of Statistics) and Han Che-young (Junior, Dept. of Agricultural and Biological Chemistry) have been elected as the President and Vice President of the 2021 GSC respectively. They earned 6,149 votes that were 65.58 percent of the total votes. “I cannot believe I have been elected. I would like to thank all the fellow CNU students for offering so much interest in this election. At the same time, I am feeling even more responsibility due to the interest. We will become the GSC that exists for the students,” said Lim Gi-ahn, President-elected of the 2021 GSC.
