CNU provided an orientation session for 65 new international undergraduate students on Gwangju and Yeosu campus respectively on August 31. The Office of International Affairs (OIA) hosted the program in a seminar room at the G&R Hub to give information about university life and guidance to 35 foreign students studying on Gwangju campus. Out of a total of 35 newly incoming students, 21 students attended the orientation. During their orientation, an OIA staff member in charge of undergraduate international student affairs explained how to check their academic schedules, registration and revision periods, showed how to get student ID cards issued and so on. At the end of the session, the participants received a t-shirt as a souvenir and took a group photo. Li Xinril (Freshman, Dept. of Japanese Language & Literature), who took part in the event said, "I was worried to take courses through e-classes. Thanks to the orientation, I now know how to take classes using Zoom. I hope to get a chance to make Korean friends and experience Korean culture through a Buddy program."
