Sharing opinions to improve Chonnam National University’s systems was a highlight of the 2023 First "Student Success Table" returned to a conference format. Held at Storium on May 19, the conference featured four main agendas related to obtaining parking tickets on campus, changing the university’s official characters, and using Jeongbomaro and Sports Ground 1. It attracted more than 50 attendees, including CNU President, faculty, staff, and students. CNU President Jung Sungtaek stated, “While we may not be able to provide an immediate response that aligns with the level of students' demands, we are continuously striving to make progress towards meeting the needs and demand of students. We will ensure that students' opinions will be incorporated into our long-term development plans.”

During the conference co-organized by the GSC and the Office of Student Affairs, students and authorities together develop ideas and opinions to build better learning environments and daily lives of students on campus. The annual event had been officially launched to build collaboration networks between the University Headquarters and the General Student Council (GSC) in 2021, but the program was not conducted last year due to the 2022 GSC. Jeong Youn-jung (Senior, Dept. of Education), President of the GSC, said, “It was meaningful in itself for the GSC and the Central Steering Committee to ask for solutions about problems although there are no notable achievements. The meeting makes it much faster to request things that need help directly to officials of the related departments. After the student success table, we will have a meeting with the Office of Administrative Affairs and the Office of International General Affairs each for the parking ticket issue and the university’s characters soon. We are looking forward to a positive response from the university.”
