전남대, 2023 국제여름학교 개강

Chonnam National University (CNU) hosted an orientation for its International Summer Session (ISS) 2023 on June 26 at the Cosmos Hall in the College of Engineering 4 building. 44 international students from different countries such as Greece, Taiwan, the U.S., China, Finland, and Hungary attended the orientation program. The students will stay at the university for four weeks, receiving college credits while having various cultural experiences based on school life. For most of weekdays, they take lectures from nine professors from foreign universities and three CNU professors in various fields, including Business Statistics, Bioethics, Computational Thinking for Engineering, and the May 18 Democratic Movement and Protests around the World. They will also enjoy Korean culture on weekends, traveling to the attractions of Gwangju and neighboring cities such as Mudeungsan National Park and Gwangju Traditional Culture Center, Yeosu, and Suncheon. Moshe Landon (Dept. of Mechanical and Materials Engineering, University of Cincinnati, USA), one of the students attending the CNUISS 2023, said, “Since I was interested in Korean entertainment and other cultures, I took the chance to experience it. I am really looking forward to meeting new people and experiencing new cultures through this session.”
